On Tuesday January 8, 2008 the Fairview Motorsports team loaded up and headed to Martinsburg, West Virginia to the Mountaineer Speedway for a test session to get the car up to speed. It was a beautiful day to be out on the track. The car was unloaded, shaken down, and then put through its paces. The crew tried several different setups before deciding on a good baseline for their flat track package. Getting a good baseline will be well worth it as the team has added the final Winter Heat race in Charlotte on the 1/5th mile track behind the Lowes Motor Speedway on the 26th of this month, providing the good weather holds out. "I'm excited to get to Charlotte and get in a race with this car. It was cutting so well in the middle of the corners that I think it'll be good in the race. We have the back up motor in there now and it doesn't quite have the horsepower that the primary motor has and we were turning good lap times with it, so it'll be good to get the extra power under the hood. So we'll go back to the shop, change motors and turn the car around to go to Charlotte. We'll see if we can give the Bonanza Extravaganza, EVS car a good run down there.", said an obviously happy driver, Kevin Eichelberger.
